Who these terms are between

These terms are between you and Dev Packers & Movers, whose yard and office are at Lahartara–Kotwan Road, near Kiran Petrol Pump, Bazardiha, Maheshpur, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. By booking a move you agree to them.

Estimates and the price lock

• An estimate shown before a survey is a range, not a binding price. It is generated from the inventory you provided and the rate card version stated on the quote.
• Once a video or on-site survey confirms the volume, we lock the price. A locked price is held for seven days.
• A locked price covers everything on the confirmed inventory. It may change only for: items added or removed after the survey; access details differing from what you declared; a vehicle of the quoted class being unable to reach the address, requiring a shuttle leg; and waiting beyond two hours at either end. Each of these is priced on the quote before you book.
• Municipal entry fees, octroi and parking charges levied by a third party at the destination are billed at cost against the receipt.

Payment

• A booking amount of 15% of the quoted total is payable to hold the date, crew and vehicle.
• The balance is payable on delivery, after the goods have been checked against the inventory.
• We issue a tax invoice for every completed move.
• We do not accept payment to a personal account. If anyone claiming to represent us asks you to, it is not us.

What you agree to

• To declare the inventory accurately, including special or high-value items.
• To not include cash, jewellery, documents, firearms, hazardous or illegal goods in the consignment. These are excluded from all cover and we may refuse to carry them.
• To ensure access, permissions and any lift booking are arranged at both ends for the agreed date and time.
• To be present, or to nominate someone in writing, at loading and at delivery.
• To check the goods against the inventory at delivery and record any damage on the delivery note before the crew leaves.

What we agree to

• To provide the crew and vehicle class stated on your booking.
• To disclose the identity and verification status of the crew attending your address before the move date.
• To record the condition of your goods photographically before packing.
• To maintain a digital inventory that is verified at both ends.
• To notify you of any change to the delivery window as soon as we know of it.
• To issue a tax invoice that matches the quotation line for line.

Liability

Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the terms of the transit cover you have purchased, or, where none is purchased, to the amount paid for the move.

We are not liable for consequential loss, including accommodation, loss of income or loss of opportunity arising from a delay.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, without prejudice to your right to approach a consumer forum in your own district.
